Anita

Anita is a Remedial Bowen Therapist of Fascial Dynamic Bowen Therapy
who particularly enjoys working to address and maintain the reduction or elimination of chronic pain and inflammation, improving mobility and posture, when all other approaches have otherwise ceased to give a solution.

Fascial Dynamic Bowen Therapy

In Bowen Therapy, a cross-fibre 'Bowen move' is applied accordingly to strategic locations on the fascial planes and junctions, influencing the fascial mechanoreceptors (sensory nerve endings in the fascia) creating body heat and bio-electric energy, allowing the fibres to separate, activating hydration in the bodies tissues and activating your bodies own healing response.
Working with Trigger Points, Acupuncture sites, Fascial Meridians and the latest research in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Bowen Therapy has a positive effect on muscles, nerves, joints, organ systems and other organic complaints. A treatment can include designated wait times between moves giving the body opportunity to promote homeostasis of the body tissues and systems.

Distinguished and Famous people from Brisbane North

Northern Brisbane has been a base for sporting achievement and the home of a decorated soldier. A cricket club and a recorded Stafford-area residence establish the local connections without turning either into an invented birthplace.

🏏 Ian Healy

Ian Healy moved from Biloela to Brisbane to play for Northern Suburbs District Cricket Club. He went on to represent Queensland and Australia as a wicketkeeper, playing 119 Tests and 168 one-day internationals between 1988 and 1999. The club's history records him among its international representatives, and his involvement with Norths continued beyond his playing career. His northern-Brisbane connection is through club cricket and sustained association with that organisation. It is the local setting behind a career more often remembered through televised matches around the world.

🎖️ Keith Payne

Keith Payne was born and raised in Ingham, but also lived in Brisbane's Stafford area. An Australian War Memorial portrait from 1969 identifies him as being from Stafford Heights. He received the Victoria Cross for his actions in Vietnam in May that year, and was presented with it in Brisbane in 1970. A Stafford park was named in his honour. His later work supported veterans, particularly those affected by the enduring effects of wartime trauma. The local connection is residence and commemoration, distinct from his North Queensland childhood.

🐓 Fred “Chooky” Campbell

Fred Campbell represented Aspley in the Queensland parliament from 1960 and maintained a strong involvement in local community organisations. Before politics he managed the family poultry business at Albany Creek, earning the nickname Chooky. Ministerial responsibilities included industrial development and labour relations, with a particular interest in apprenticeship training. He also served organisations including Aspley Rotary. Known for a conciliatory style, he believed industrial disputes reflected failures in communication. The local association includes representation and community work, rather than resting only on a ministerial title held elsewhere.
